With Peugeot's new USB Box, motorists can now enjoy their complete music collection in their car by connecting any MP3 player. USB Box has the following features; 
 
  • Compatible with all current CAN multiplex wiring vehicles with RD4, RT3 & RT4 audio systems
  • Glove box or fascia mounted· dependent on model 
  • Complete with three connection types
  • iPod serial port connection
  • Standard USB
  • 3.5mm jack plug
  • Direct connection means great sound quality with virtually no loss of gain
  • MP3 player music menus and file names are displayed on the vehicle multi-function display when connected via iPod serial connector or USB - R04 audio only
  • Once connected the MP3 player is accessed and control head via the vehicle's audio stalk control allowing users to navigate through menu options, adjust volume and skip forwards and backwards through tracks.
  • Automatic charging of MP3 player battery when connected via iPod serial connector or USB.

This package comes with all items required to install and instructions. Some tools will be required such as a drill, screw drivers, torx screwdrivers and a radio head unit releasing tool. See footnote in RED

Peugeot give a time of 1 hour 20 minutes to install this item from start to finish - Our technicians generall do it in much less than this and have found no unexpected problems when installing these units.

Please note:
USB Box utilises the CD Multi changer connection in the back of the radio / CD Head unit and will therefore disable this device where fitted. 
Once installed, your radio / CD Head unit will need to be configured by a Peugeot Dealer to add the extra menu items to the head unit. This takes 0.30 of an hour. Your Peugeot dealer will charge you 0.30 of their published retail labour rate to do this. So if their retail labout rate is £60.00 Per hour you will pay £18.00 + VAT. (60 divided by 10 x 3 = 18.00)
